Support for community following severe weather event in Te Tai Tokerau and Aotea
The impact of severe rainfall and widespread flooding is being felt across communities in Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) and Aotea (Great Barrier Island). We recognise that this event is placing additional pressure on individuals, whānau, organisations, and community services.
We are working closely with community partners, funders, government agencies, territorial authorities, iwi, and marae to identify urgent needs. We have established a Rapid Response Fund, which is being proactively distributed to communities facing the greatest immediate impact.
Do you have a current grant or funding request with us, and do your plans need to change due to the weather event?
We take a flexible and responsive approach to funding and grant management in times like these. Our priority is to reduce administrative burden so you can focus on supporting your community.
If your circumstances have changed due to the severe weather, please contact us on 0800 272 878 or info@foundationnorth.org.nz.
