‘Inasi Fund 2.0 launch builds on strong partnership with Le Va

Foundation North is proud to see the launch of a new round of the ‘Inasi Fund, continuing a successful partnership with Le Va that is helping improve access to funding for Pacific disabled communities across Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau.

Established in 2025, the partnership combines Foundation North’s commitment to equitable funding with Le Va’s deep relationships and trusted expertise within Pacific communities. Together, the first year of the ‘Inasi Fund supported 22 community-led initiatives, distributing $272,000 across Auckland and Northland, with funding reaching 14 organisations who were receiving Foundation North support for the first time.

Engagement Advisor, Vaovasatoa Albert Scott says "We had the resource, and Le Va had the relationships. Together, that created the 'Inasi Fund and the response from Pacific communities across Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Tai Tokerau was overwhelming. But the real impact wasn’t just in the applications, it was in the relationships and seeing those ideas come to life in our communities. That’s the power of devolved funding, trusting the village, backing those who know their communities, and creating opportunities where everyone can benefit."

Building on this success, ‘Inasi 2.0 is set to distribute a further $300,000 investment, giving Pacific disability communities greater certainty, continuity and access to resources that support their aspirations and wellbeing.

The Fund opened on 7 September and closes on 5 October 2026.
