New Digital Story - Te Ara Rangatahi

Watch our latest digital story about Te Ara Rangatahi – a youth-led Iwi organisation that supports Ngāti Te Ata young people in Franklin into further education and employment.  The organisation offers a number of programmes to inspire and motivate rangatahi in order to build a generation of empowered and confident leaders, capable of making a positive impact.

Since its inception in 2015, Te Ara Rangatahi has created a dedicated youth space and so far over 300 rangatahi have participated in their programmes achieving positive results; 65 went on to get driving licences, 45+ gained paid employment, 36 received short course qualifications, and 7 went into further education.

The organisation’s four key initiatives offer skills development, leadership workshops, confidence building, and the strengthening of Māori culture.
