Changes at the Centre for Social Impact; Alison Taylor leaves the role of CEO

The founding leader of Foundation North’s social business, the Centre for Social Impact, has announced her resignation.

Alison Taylor was appointed to lead the Centre when it was established in 2014.  The Centre was set up by Foundation North to help grant-makers and funders invest for impact, and to help community organisations achieve sustainable social change.

“What Alison has achieved since 2014 is a great tribute to her leadership, her intellect, and her passionate commitment to supporting social impact that makes a difference for our communities,” says Foundation North CEO Jennifer Gill.  “The Centre has been a superb resource to Foundation North as New Zealand’s largest philanthropic funder, from supporting our Catalysts for Change partners to deliver on their visions, to working alongside us as we developed the strategies that will guide our grantmaking over the coming years.

“The Centre today works in New Zealand and Australia alongside a diverse range of other funders of social programmes, and their community partners.  The Centre’s team have a reputation for the quality of their work, high integrity relationships, and their dedication to getting good outcomes for our communities.

“Our Foundation North team will miss working with Alison, but we know that she will continue to be a part of our wider social impact community, wherever her career takes her."

Over the coming weeks, the Centre’s Board will begin the process of recruiting a new chief executive to continue the work of delivering on the Centre’s vision to turn social investment into social impact for sustainable change.
