South Auckland Community Innovation Fund
A fund for innovation to enhance life and opportunities in South Auckland communities, now and for future generations.
Foundation North has created a special pilot fund to support innovative projects that intend to improve lives and opportunities in South Auckland communities, now and for future generations.
A first ‘prototype’ phase was undertaken in 2019, uncovering organisations and teams with potential to innovate to enhance equity in South Auckland.
22 grants totaling $3.4 million were made to support their work, ranging from food sovereignty to digital storytelling to youth-led enterprise and design.
Applications for this fund are currently closed. Foundation North will be taking the learnings and insights from the pilot to inform next steps.
