Pasifika Way Makers Fund

Foundation North and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples have teamed up to provide $200,000 in granting funds to a panel of 13 Pasifika youth aged 18-26. The Pacific Youth Future Makers will allocate funding to projects that aim to benefit Pacific young people, their families, and communities in South Auckland. This participatory grantmaking initiative aims to empower young Pasifika leaders and provide them with the resources and support to make a positive impact on their communities.


This initiative aims to empower Pasifika youth and give them a voice in deciding how funding is distributed to projects that benefit Pacific young people, their families, and communities in South Auckland. By involving young Pasifika leaders in the decision-making process, this initiative aims to create positive change and promote greater inclusion and representation within Pasifika communities.

The panel has chosen to distribute $200k of funding in $10k grants to initiatives that aim to benefit Pacific young people, their families, and communities in South Auckland. The panel, which is made up of 13 young Pasifika youth from the Pacific nations of Niue, Samoa, Tonga, Tokelau, and Tuvalu, will be responsible for selecting the successful applicants who will receive the grants.
