Photographer Abhi Chinniah received a grant in 2022 to support Melanin Rising, an exhibition of photographic portraits, essays, and interviews exploring colourism. The Asian Artists' Fund supports and targets initiatives that are by, with and for Asian arts communities in Auckland and Northland.
