Central and local government leaders gather for lunch at Allendale

On 4 May Foundation North’s Chief Executive Jennifer Gill and Chair Lyn Lim welcomed key local government and central government representatives from across Auckland and Northland to the Foundation’s Ponsonby HQ for a special luncheon.

The purpose of the event was to inform guests of the Foundation’s new 15-year strategic direction and its new funding focus on outcomes and priorities. Guests included the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Minister Nanaia Mahuta and Minister Peeni Henare, Auckland’s Mayor Phil Goff, plus Dr Jason Smith, Kaipara District Mayor and Sheryl Mai, Mayor of Whangarei District.

The Foundation’s Trustees and Leadership Team engaged with guests to ensure they are conversant with the work of the Foundation and to discuss how the trust and our elected leaders can work collectively for better outcomes for the region.
